Stage 3 Bedsore at Hospital

Carter was a 62-year-old resident who acquired a Stage 3 bedsore at a hospital over a three-week residency. The hospital failed to reposition and turn Carter and failed to monitor her nutrition. Carter suffered from significant weight loss and dehydration. The hospital discharged Carter to a nursing facility while concealing the bedsore, which became septic. Carter passed away a few weeks later.
